White lawn is a summer favorite, and this one is especially soft and airy. It feels cool against the skin and has the clean, fresh look that suits hot weather. The embroidery is detailed but gentle, so the suit looks graceful rather than busy.
Embroidery: The shirt has evenly spaced mauve clover (quatrefoil) buttis, with tiny white floral sprigs in between. The real beauty is at the hem. Slim mauve dotted stems rise from the border, with snowflake-style flower motifs, small beaded blossoms and looped vines beneath them. They sit on top of fine white eyelet and cutwork embroidery, and a delicate cutwork edge finishes the hem. The dupatta has a scalloped border in the same mauve and white, with small flowers and curling loops, and one clover butti above it. This keeps both pieces in the same style.
